Watson Rose is an actor and writer with a passion for comedy and a knack for dialects and accents. She is certified to a native standard in a wide variety of accents from RP and Cockney to French-Canadian and General American.
When she’s not on set, she works with a number writers and screenwriters across Canada and the globe as a developmental and stylistic editor, helping them implement notes and create thoughtful, deeply human work. As a writer, her focus is sketch comedy though she is currently in development on her first feature horror film.
She has a master’s in acting with distinction from the world-renowned London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA), where she received her intermediate and advanced certification with distinction in stage combat with a specializiation in sabre and developed a thesis performance on the intersection of comedy and sexuality in Shakespeare’s texts. She has a deep love of Monty Python and music, and theatre, and has worked on stage in stand-up comedy and as an ensemble member of Edmonton’s beloved improvised musical comedy, The 11 O’Clock Number.
She has over ninety plants (so far) currently living in her apartment (they all have names), as well as two black cats, Tippi and August, whom she adopted while on set for The Way Home.
Watson is represented by Julia Schneider of Ambition Talent. She is a full and active member of both CAEA and ACTRA.
